Developed by Fritz and Laura Perls, Gestalt therapy derives many of its theories from Gestalt psychology, although the approach to therapy does not completely mirror Gestalt psychology.

Gestalt psychology emphasizes that the brain is a self-organizing, holistic unit that is greater than the sum of its parts, while Gestalt therapy emphasizes the present moment and personal responsibility.
​

Gestalt therapy also incorporates aspects of Freudian and Reichian psychology.

Richard Dick McHugh

Richard Dick McHugh, a Jesuit and Ph.D holder in psychology was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was ordained to the priesthood in Jamshedpur, India, on March 24, 1960; and this was the beginning of his journey in India began.

The study of NLP gave Dick an in-depth analysis to an approach on Mental Health. He was enabled with powerful tools, exercising which he could seek the right answers and derived a better understanding of his own background.

He was able to seek answers to questions and thus gained deeper understanding of his own psychology, physical environment and most importantly religion.
